Creek Street Salmon

Creek Street Salmon

Creek Street in Ketchikan, Alaska by Hamilton Gelhar. Creek St is famous for being the place where men and salmon went upstream to spawn. Creek St was the red light district and prostitution was legal up until 1960. Now Creek St is visited for different reason. Tourists from all over the world flock to the boardwalk during the summer to see salmon spawning in the creek and seals chasing down their dinner.
